Hobart 7000 Tasmania Australia
Luxurious 2 bedrooms, 2 lounge spaces, 2 kitchens, 2 bathrooms.
The land upon which the house sits was granted to George Augustus Robinson (1791–1866). Arriving into Hobart Town in January 1824 and working as a builder, he quickly established a successful business, employing several men within a year. Robinson was involved in philanthropic work, including visiting prisoners in gaol, and helped to found the Mechanics' Institute.
Owner and host Gary Bashford recently completed a renovation of the home, carefully preserving all heritage features. With historic charm throughout, step inside through the beautiful grand Victorian front door with ornate ruby glass.
Internally, there are original cornices and ceiling rosettes along with the original fireplace, and all door handles and locks have been lovingly restored.
